February signs out, Chile ruptured, Pictures!

Just before heading to bed, while listening to the wonderful waves in this small village with just dirtroads, a small newsflash.

Last week I thought about flying from Sao Paulo to Santiago to meet up with my Chilean friends quicker, but I decided long busrides through Brasil, Uruguay and Argentina should provide a better travel experience. (Before I left home I always said I would not fly on this continent and I will try to stick with that idea).
As we all know now, Chile has been hit by a really heavy earthquake, luckily in an area where not too many people live, but even hundreds of kilometers around the epicenter there are still buildings that collapsed and roads that suffered. While I think and hope that my friends and there family are safe, I haven't heard from them yet, hopefully just because they have no internet available at the moment.

In a weird way really glad to be safe and sound in Uruguay, relaxing at beautiful beaches with a rocky coastline and nice waves, my thoughts go out to Rosita and Fresa and their family, hope to hear all is well soon!

The end of February means I can sign in to my Facebookaccount again, so I did, and immediately there is this tidal wave of drunken-friend-pictures which makes me miss you guys far too much. Facebook is bad.
I did download some photos of which I am not sure everyone is able to see them, they are here on site now, so even those lucky ones without any Facebookaccess can enjoy my uncensored partypics-by-others now!

First days in Uruguay have been wonderful, the buses I had to take to get here were long, but it was so worth it!
Punta del Diablo is a small village, only dirtroads, very little traffic. A lot of hostels, most of them not that old, I guess tourist business still grows enormously every year. Luckily I found a very nice little hostel without too much English speakers, so I am surrounded by Argentinians and other Spanish speakers, it's hard and I can't connect with everyone but I have to practice.
Important to say is that the terrace in front is amazing, unblocked horizon sea-view. With the moon out tonight, and full moon last night, practically now clouds, it's unbelievably pretty.
Just a few steps down the stairs the beach is waiting all the time.

I will try to figure out which other spots in Uruguay to visit, and then continue my way to Chile. Through Buenos Aires and probably with at least 1 stop in Mendoza on the way. Check out the loads of February pictures that are all online now, back in touch soon.

Diablo around the moon says hi!
