I still love you!
I know it does not look like it at the moment, but believe me, I do!

It has been far too long, it has been a wild ride, I have met some people I had a great time with, but this should not be a reason for not sharing anything with you all.

Now I finally have some time alone, to tell you about Lovely Argentina!
There is so much to tell though, because I could not bring myself to do it earlier, that stories have build up, and when I start typing, I just cannot stop. At the end of a page, I am halfway some crazy partynight, and what is there really to tell (or to learn?), about some party at the other side of the world?

So it is time for a new approach. Some random stories about the last few weeks will appear online this week, hope you will like it!

Starting with where I am right now!

Argentina, day 17.

As for right now, I am totally at ease, by myself, in North Argentina. Posadas is the main town of Misiones province, there is no serious tourist industry to speak of, and I really like that.
Last week when I was travelling around this place with Ben, the great London guy who you can spot in a lot of the pictures, we found this great laid back hostel, Vuela el Pez.

How we found the hostel is another great story I have to tell you all. When we arrived at the busterminal we had no idea where to go, so we just got a cab to - el centro por favor! -
This brought us to the main square, not that big but really nice. Small fountain, a lot of green, some beautiful people walking around, we sat down next to the trees and I found my 10 year old shoestring LonelyPlanet.
It told us that for a cheap stay we better look in Paraguay (Posadas has a great boulevard, with a giant river, and at the other side of it is Paraguay!). But this was all still printed when the Peso was 1:1 with the dollar, it is not anymore (lucky us!), so we had to try in town first.

We wanted to check the tourist information desk, so we started walking in that direction. Then this beautiful girl walked towards us, and said in perfect english - Hi, you guys looking for a hostel? - Ben looks at me, and it is very clear that we ARE looking for a hostel,(and...), she will take us there! Where? Shit, her boyfriend runs the hostel!
But she gave us a great free ride there in her Ford Ka (was not that far anyway), and the house has a great open air pool in the middle, with hammocks around!

Here I am going to lay low for a couple of days, because Rio de Janeiro & Carnaval & Lucas are waiting for me next week, and it will be rough!

Check back really soon for more impressions, and some more pictures.

Love,

f
